Drang is another recently discovered tourist station in the beautiful Vale of Kashmir. It is located about 38 km north of Srinagar on Gulmarg road, just 3 km away from Tangmarg. The place is quite similar to Pahalgam with a fast water stream, known as Ferozpur-Nalla, flowing down. It is however a small place and is suitable for a day picnic or a short visit during your trip to Gulmarg.

Located at the foot of the Pir Panjal range, Tangmarg is gifted with natural beauty which attracts tourists from all over the world. The tourist spots like Ferozpore Nallah, Waters Meet and Ziarat of Baba Reshi are in the vicinity. The place is famous for handicraft works. To Gulmarg, there are two routes from Tangmarg. One is a steep footpath while the other is a winding sealed road. Majestic pines line on the way. Riding enthusiasts can take ponies from Tangmarg.
Buses from Srinagar (about 45 km) to Gulmarg (about 8 km) pass via Tangmarg. Jammu Tawi is the nearest railway station, connected by trains to all parts of the country. Accommodation facilities are available at the tourist bungalows, tourist huts and hotels in Tangmarg.
